Migration of rural youth is a very odd problem due to the odd geographical location of the state of Uttarakhand, non-availability of medical education and employment. Youths from rural families are migrating to big cities for better livelihood. It is also a matter of concern that religious conversions are being done continuously in remote mountainous areas under the guise of medical education by certain sects. Keeping all these problems in mind, Divya Prem Seva Mission has resolved to establish a medical college as its twenty-fifth service project. The foundation stone of the Divine College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences at Shyampur Haridwar, 10 km from Chandi Ghat, was laid on 23 January 2021, on the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary. Which is taking shape with intensity. The main objective of establishment of Divine College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences by Divya Prem Sewa Mission is to provide medical facilities to the poor families living in the nearby areas of the state, district and to provide employment to the healthy children of leprosy patients by providing nursing and paramedical education.
