This Privacy Policy describes how Divya Prem Sewa Mission (also referred to as “DPSM”, “the Mission”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a charitable trust registered in India, collects, uses and protects personal information that you provide when you use this website (divyaprem.co.in) or our donation portal (donate.divyaprem.co.in).
This policy is issued in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.
What we collect.
We collect only the personal information you choose to provide, namely:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and message.
- Donations: name, email, phone, postal address, PAN (for 80G receipts where applicable), and the donation amount. Payment card and bank details are processed by our donation portal partner and are not stored on this website.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and time spent — collected through standard server logs and analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use it.
- To respond to enquiries received through the contact form.
- To process donations, issue receipts, send 80G certificates where applicable, and meet our statutory reporting obligations under the Income Tax Act and the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
- To send occasional updates about the Mission’s work, only where you have explicitly consented.
- To improve the security, performance and usability of this website.
We do not use your personal information for advertising and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.
Who we share with.
We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary:
- Banking and payment partners: ICICI Bank and State Bank of India, and our donation portal provider (CharityERP), for the processing of donations.
- Statutory authorities: the Income Tax Department, the Ministry of Home Affairs (FCRA Division) and other government bodies, where disclosure is required by law.
- Service providers: our hosting provider (Hostinger), email service providers and analytics provider (Google), which act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality.
How we protect it.
We use SSL/TLS encryption to secure data transmitted between your browser and our website. Donation transactions are processed over encrypted connections by our banking and payment partners. Access to donor records is restricted to authorised members of the Mission.
No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it.
We retain donor records for the period required under the Income Tax Act, FCRA Rules and other applicable Indian laws (typically a minimum of eight financial years). Contact form submissions are retained for one year unless they have led to an ongoing engagement, in which case they are kept as part of that record.
Your rights.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent for communications.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our statutory retention obligations.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

Children’s information.
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can delete it.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date shown at the top.
